About the Job

Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) acts as a crucial link between R&D and Manufacturing facilities, securing the current portfolio and delivering future launches of high‑quality innovative drugs and vaccines. By driving its own transformation, Global MSAT fulfills an important function by providing day‑to‑day Manufacturing Support, focusing on technical and process aspects, effective Life‑Cycle Management, process robustness enhancement, and yield improvements to optimize performance.

The Business Operations & Portfolio Management (BOPM) department drives and supports MSAT performance and strategy in collaboration with technological platforms, global functions and business stakeholders to build a best‑in‑class MSAT organization. MSAT BOPM maximizes MSAT value to Sanofi by delivering projects on time, at cost, with optimal resource utilization and target adherence; defining the best portfolio to accelerate business growth; driving MSAT performance through strategic KPIs;

implementing essential tools and processes; and ensuring the best development partnerships for project needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Own the complete project lifecycle — from initiation through closure — for complex, high‑impact initiatives including New Product Launches, Second Generation products, and major Technology Transfers. Operate with full autonomy, escalating only critical strategic issues while proactively resolving challenges.
  • Contribute actively to product program strategy and new project evaluation within assigned clusters; maintain clear understanding of how projects align with commercial priorities and business objectives.
  • Build and sustain deep strategic partnerships with product networks to ensure project execution is tightly aligned with commercial and organizational priorities. Serve as a trusted senior advisor to business partners, integrating regulatory, quality, and commercial considerations into project design.
  • Lead seamless collaboration across MSAT Platforms, sites/GBUs, R&D, Finance, and SPPM, managing a large and complex stakeholder landscape that includes senior leadership.
  • Create project plans and schedules independently for standard projects; accurately identify critical path and dependencies; monitor project performance using key metrics including schedule variance and milestone achievement; adapt plans based on changing circumstances while maintaining project objectives.
  • Execute rigorous project management standards including PKMs, Lessons Learned documentation, and established processes; follow MSAT Global Project Management governance including project charter initiation, gate reviews, and governance meetings.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate complex project risks through sophisticated risk analysis and the development of robust contingency strategies; transform risk events into opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure complex projects are delivered at optimal cost through rigorous financial oversight and full budget accountability, developing and managing comprehensive project budgets and implementing Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Drive rigorous project accountability through advanced performance tracking, proactive identification of delivery gaps, and systematic root cause analysis; synthesize performance insights across multiple projects to recommend strategic interventions.
  • Champion and execute rigorous PM standards and best practices, customize PM methodologies to specific needs of complex initiatives; formally mentor junior project managers, providing structured guidance and coaching.
About You Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Life Sciences, Business Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Mathematics or other related technical fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Technical Project Management, Business Administration, Continuous Improvement or related fields.
