Manufacturing Technician – 1st Shift

Pay: $28.00–$35.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to support the production of advanced space hardware. In this role, you will assemble precision mechanical and electro‑mechanical components, operate specialized manufacturing equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a high‑tech manufacturing environment while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process incoming flight hardware, including precision cleaning, bagging, and tagging.
  • Perform first article and in-process inspections.
  • Assemble precision mechanical and electro‑mechanical (E/M) components at subassembly and top‑level builds.
  • Conduct manufacturing acceptance testing, including visual inspections, dimensional checks, electrical testing, and leak detection.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as furnaces, X‑ray machines, brazing systems, and welding equipment.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, job routers, and quality standards.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to support design for manufacturability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electro‑mechanical, aerospace, automotive, or electronics assembly.
  • Experience with precision tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, crimpers, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
  • Familiarity with CAD programs and manufacturing documentation (job routers).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex assemblies.
  • Ability to safely work with high‑energy equipment and manufacturing systems.
  • Team‑oriented with strong communication skills.
