Job Description & How to Apply Below

Kal Vista is a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to delivering life-changing oral therapies for individuals affected by rare diseases with significant unmet needs. The Kal Vista team discovered and developed EKTERLY®—the first and only oral on-demand treatment for hereditary angioedema (HAE)—and continues to work closely with the global HAE community to improve treatment and care for this disease around the world.

Kal Vista is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Associate Director, Corporate Affairs, to support and help build our corporate communications platform during a period of significant growth and evolution. This role is ideal for a strong communicator who combines excellent execution skills with sound judgment and a desire to grow alongside a company entering its next chapter.

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, the Associate Director will play a hands‑on role across press releases, social media, internal communications, patient advocacy initiatives, executive presentations, and key message development. You will work closely with senior leaders, cross‑functional partners, and external agencies to ensure communications are clear, consistent, and aligned as Kal Vista continues to scale as a commercial‑stage, multi‑asset rare‑disease company.

This role offers meaningful exposure, ownership, and the opportunity to help shape how Kal Vista tells its story—internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate, External & Strategic Communications
  • Support the execution of corporate communications initiatives that enhance Kal Vista’s visibility and reputation with employees, media, partners, investors, and the rare disease community
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate external communications materials including press releases, corporate statements, fact sheets, Q&A documents, and corporate presentations
  • Collaborate closely with external communications agencies; edit agency‑developed communications content and manage internal review and approval processes
  • Maintain and manage the external communications calendar, ensuring alignment across Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, Patient Advocacy, and functional teams
  • Monitor media coverage, industry news, and competitive activity; prepare summaries and insights for internal stakeholders
  • Support media relations activities, including coordinating interviews, preparing briefing materials, and responding to inbound media inquiries in partnership with leadership and agencies
Social Media & Digital Communications
  • Support execution of Kal Vista’s corporate social media strategy, including content planning, drafting, reviewing, posting, and monitoring
  • Serve as the internal owner of social media content approvals, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and compliance
  • Partner with internal teams to develop content supporting corporate milestones, culture, recruitment, and thought leadership
  • Assist with web and digital content updates, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed
Internal Communications
  • Partner with People & Culture and senior leaders to support internal communications, including All Hands meetings, leadership updates, and organizational change communications
  • Draft internal announcements and presentations that translate complex information into clear, engaging, employee‑focused messages
  • Collaborate with external agency to develop Kal Vista’s internal quarterly newsletter and maintain the company Intranet
  • Help ensure consistency and alignment between internal and external messaging
Investor Relations & Patient Advocacy Collaboration
  • Collaborate on communications materials that span Internal and External Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Patient Advocacy, ensuring a cohesive narrative across audiences
  • Support patient advocacy initiatives, company‑sponsored activities, and events by developing communications materials, messaging, and supporting content
  • Organize and track patient advocacy sponsor ships in partnership with Commercial, maintaining centralized records, monitoring deliverables and compliance oversight
  • Assist in preparing materials for conferences, external engagements, and community‑facing initiatives…
