• Provide direct clinical patient care on a per-shift basis for assigned patients.
• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients and at the unit level.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Know the hospital’s emergency codes, including purpose and appropriate action for each, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
• Certification:
  Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law or regulation in state of practice or policy.
• CPR certification.
