Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager, Telemetry for a healthcare leadership opportunity in Framingham, MA. This position provides leadership and operational oversight for a telemetry nursing unit and designated patient care services. The RN Nurse Manager partners closely with executive nursing leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting staff development, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective resource management.

This role is responsible for assisting in the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practices within the telemetry department while maintaining 24/7 accountability for departmental operations. The RN Nurse Manager serves as a key leader in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is an experienced nursing leader with telemetry and acute care experience, strong hospital operations knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for developing high-performing clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily telemetry unit operations and patient care delivery.
  • Support the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care for telemetry and cardiac monitoring patients.
  • Assist in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services and patient care activities.
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring and management of patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry.
  • Promote compliance with organizational policies, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor patient care quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Support patient safety programs, quality improvement efforts, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical staffing and resource allocation to meet patient care needs.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and support nursing and clinical staff within the telemetry department.
  • Foster a collaborative and patient-focused work environment.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development initiatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure staff competency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, emergency response protocols, and patient care standards.
  • Promote employee engagement and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a professional role model and advocate for nursing excellence.
  • Encourage ongoing clinical education and specialty certification development.
Operational Management
  • Maintain 24/7 accountability for telemetry unit operations and nursing services.
  • Monitor staffing levels, patient acuity, census fluctuations, and departmental productivity.
  • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Support departmental budgeting and cost-management initiatives.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among departments to support efficient patient flow and service delivery.
  • Participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives designed to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Support throughput initiatives and discharge planning processes to enhance patient outcomes.
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Support departmental readiness for regulatory surveys, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
  • Participate in quality assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
