Job Summary

We're Hiring for Our August 31 Emergency Department RN Residency Cohort! Are you ready to launch your nursing career in the Emergency Department? Metro West Medical Center is now accepting applications for our August 31 RN Residency Cohort. We are especially interested in candidates with prior Emergency Department experience, including EMTs, ED Technicians
, and Paramedics
, as well as new graduate nurses who completed a senior practicum or capstone experience in the Emergency Department
.

Our Emergency Department RN Residency combines expert mentorship, hands‑on learning, and a collaborative team to help you build the confidence and critical thinking skills needed for success in emergency nursing.

We are currently hiring for our Emergency Department at Metro West Medical Center! Enjoy up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus (paid as you go), competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our August 31 cohort requires an active RN license prior to the start date
. As part of our residency program, you'll join a supportive community of clinical educators, experienced nurses, and fellow new graduate RNs dedicated to helping you successfully transition from student to professional nurse.

Our New Graduate RN program offers innovative curriculum delivered through a comprehensive 12-month program focused on creating a solid foundation at the start of your nursing profession. We designed an environment to help you develop delegation and priority setting skills, holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication and establishment of valuable professional relationships. You will have the opportunity to experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures.

Job Responsibilities

Will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and competent patient care. Will specifically, assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct nursing care to assigned patients. Will also assume responsibility for the supervision of staff to which nursing care is appropriately delegated.

Education

Required:

Graduated from state approved school of nursing or an accredited school, or currently enrolled in nursing school with a graduation date within the next 6 months

Certifications

Required:

Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
