Research Associate II

Details for the position are as follows:

• Location:
  
  Framingham, MA – 100% onsite
• Rate: $50-56 an hour
• 12-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs
• Hours:
  
  M-F / 40 hours a week.

• We are seeking a motivated Research Associate with a strong background in analytical laboratory techniques to support the execution and analysis of experiments and routine scientific procedures. This individual will contribute to project milestones through accurate experimental design, data analysis, and technical problem-solving under general supervision.
• Responsible for the execution and analysis of experiments and analytical procedures. Display an investigative or technological orientation in designing, executing and interpreting experiments and analytical procedures.
• Investigate basic technical problems and performs routine scientific procedures and experiments under general supervision.
• Plan and prioritize concurrent experimental procedures. Integrate, compile, and tabulate data and assist supervisor in the analysis and interpretation of the results.
• May provide oral presentations on results to other department members. Work under active supervision.
• Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
• 3–6 years of laboratory experience (academic and/or industry experience post‑graduation)
• Experience performing analytical assays including:
  Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), Liquid assays, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
• Strong background in automated liquid handling systems - Hamilton preferred.
• Empower or Chemstation experienced preferred
• Caliper assays preferred
