This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for Masters and PhD-level scientists who want to put their deep domain knowledge to work in a meaningful new way — no prior AI experience required.

- Design and develop advanced, real-world environmental science problems spanning climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, and related fields
- Solve and critically review complex problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Apply your domain expertise to help AI models reason more accurately about environmental systems
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine and improve AI outputs
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific clarity and precision
- Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field
- Strong working knowledge of climate modeling, ecological systems, or sustainability science
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
- Exceptionally clear written communicator with sharp attention to detail
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in an asynchronous environment
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
- Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI-assisted research tools
- Background in interdisciplinary environmental research or cross-domain modeling
- Prior involvement in peer review, technical writing, or scientific communication
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs — your expertise directly shapes how AI understands the natural world
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
