Position: Territory Leader - Massachusetts Central

We are hiring frontline sales professionals for our biopharma company, focusing on eye care. The Territory Leader will drive disease‑state education and launch of XDEMVY across the assigned territory.

Geography

Candidates must reside in Worcester, Framingham, Wellesley, or Waltham.

Account Management & Eye Care Expertise
  • Deep knowledge of eye care clinical information – anatomy, disease state, products, XDEMVY, and office treatment patterns.
  • Expertise in selling skills and account development, building relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in pull‑through tactics with a solid understanding of managed care hurdles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all functions within an ophthalmology/optometry practice and how they impact product prescribing and pull‑through.
  • Maximize managed‑care opportunities within the territory and provide feedback to district, region, and national teams.
  • Identification, engagement, and cultivation of key opinion leaders within respective geographies.
  • Champion compliant promotion in alignment with corporate values as a trusted eye‑care expert.
Business Acumen & Sales Execution
  • Excel in achieving and exceeding sales performance goals and key productivity metrics across the territory.
  • Use analytical skills to prioritize key customer engagements and drive reach and frequency for product trial and utilization.
  • Drive launch and ongoing performance by monitoring all key metrics weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, adjusting strategy based on data insights.
  • Establish actionable business plans aligned with selling activities to maximize impact.
  • Share insights and feedback with leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain personal accountability for ethics and compliance.
Business Owners & Culture Champions
  • Promote a culture of commitment, empowerment, and teamwork, including extreme ownership, high accountability, continuous improvement, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
  • Adapt in a complex selling environment while partnering with district leaders, marketing, market access, medical affairs, sales ops, inside sales, training, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide frontline feedback and intelligence to sales leadership and the broader organization.
  • Ensure PDMA compliance and adhere to all company and industry compliance guidelines.
  • Share best practices among peers and leadership to elevate national performance.
  • Maximize the use of key resources for territory success.
Factors for Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales or relevant healthcare sales experience, with a proven track record of business‑to‑business sales (required). Strong preference for experience with pharmaceutical launch and eye‑care sales.
  • Established track record of excellent problem‑solving and collaboration.
  • Highly adaptable to change, able to pivot and respond quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication, change‑management, and decision‑making skills.
  • Proven ability to address difficult issues and make tough decisions.
  • Track record in selling skills, high performance, influence, customer focus, resource maximization, analytical skills, relationship building, teamwork, adaptability, and grit.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base pay (salary ranges provided below). Individual pay determined by skill, experience, and education.

    • Associate Territory Leader – 2+ years B2B selling – $110,000
    • Territory Leader – 1–2 years pharma selling – $123,000
    • Territory Leader – 2–5 years pharma selling – $139,000
    • Sr. Territory Leader – 5–8 years pharma selling – $145,000
    • Sr. Territory Leader – 8+ years pharma selling – $161,000
  • Travel: 40–50% travel required within the selling geography and beyond, including travel to HQ in Irvine, CA.
