Armed Security Officer – First Shift

We are hiring a Temporary Full-Time Armed Security Officer for a first shift (Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m) assignment up to 6 months, with the potential to become a permanent position. Candidates must have a valid Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC), their own Massachusetts-compliant firearm and duty belt, strong communication and de‑escalation skills, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security assistance
• Engage with the public to offer assistance and directions
• Monitor closed‑circuit television for potential issues

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well‑being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Active Armed Security license
• Valid Driver's License

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
