Staples is business to business. You're what binds us together.

Staples is the world's largest B2B office products company, serving millions of business customers through a diversified portfolio spanning contract sales, eCommerce, retail, and third-party marketplace channels. Staples Digital Solutions (SDS) is the technology organization powering that business — a team of passionate, collaborative, and agile engineers and architects committed to driving innovation and delivering customer-centric technology at scale.

As a Physical Security Analyst, you'll help protect associates, facilities, assets, and operations across our corporate and supply chain network by supporting and improving enterprise physical security systems and programs. Partnering closely with Asset Protection, Facilities, IT, Procurement, field teams, and external vendors, you'll help ensure security technologies and processes remain reliable, compliant, and effective through system monitoring, analytics, project coordination, vendor management, and financial oversight.

This role is ideal for a security professional who enjoys combining technology, data, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen safety, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement within a growing, enterprise-wide security program.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Monitor and support enterprise physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and alarm platforms.
  • Analyze system performance, incident trends, and service data to identify opportunities for improvement and risk reduction.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts, maintenance activities, and corrective actions with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Support physical security projects including new installations, upgrades, relocations, and system expansions across corporate and supply chain facilities.
  • Create and maintain engineered drawings, installation documentation, reports, and operational records.
  • Assist with project scheduling, vendor oversight, milestone tracking, and project closeout validation.
  • Serve as a liaison between Asset Protection, Facilities, IT, Procurement, Accounts Payable, field teams, and security vendors.
  • Support incident response activities by providing documentation, system data, and follow-up analysis.
  • Review and process invoices related to security equipment, services, and projects while ensuring alignment with approved scope and pricing.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders and support procurement-related activities tied to physical security initiatives.
  • Assist with the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Genetec physical security platform.
  • Help drive standardization, compliance, and operational readiness across enterprise locations.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Comfort working across technical, operational, project, and financial processes.
  • Passion for improving security operations through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

What's Needed
- Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in physical security, facilities operations, asset protection, or a related operational support role, including hands-on support of physical security systems such as access control, video surveillance, and alarm platforms.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, service tickets, maintenance activities, or operational support services.
  • Ability to analyze incident data, system metrics, and service trends to support operational decision-making.
  • Experience preparing reports, engineered drawings, service logs, SOPs, or similar documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience managing purchase requisitions, invoices, or budget-related documentation…
