Utility Inspection Technician – Indoor Inspections

• Enter commercial and residential facilities to inspect gas meters and pipes for leaks and corrosion
• Perform visual inspections
• Identify abnormal operating conditions
• Accurately complete all inspection paperwork and data, electronically or on paper
• Report to the assigned work area on time at the start of each shift
• Work daytime full-time shifts, with possible overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts
• Complete instructor-led training

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to stand and walk for long periods on varying terrain
• Able to bend and stoop
• Able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
• Customer service experience is a plus
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
• Ability to use simple hand tools
• Ability to read a utility map

Demonstrates proficiency in conducting inspections of gas meters and pipes, identifying leaks and corrosion, and completing necessary documentation. Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions while effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.
