Job Overview
We are seeking a software engineer to become a lead contributor to the Core Engineering Tools Group. The role focuses on developing and improving engineering tools that enable measurement, analysis, and design for wearable, out‑loud, and automotive audio products.
Responsibilities- Develop applications and user interfaces for measurement, analysis, and design.
- Implement and support DSP algorithms and frameworks.
- Support measurement hardware platforms.
- Write software testing and deployment pipelines.
- Author engaging documentation.
- Educate, support, and collaborate with our users.
- BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of industry software development experience.
- Programming in Matlab & Python, including object‑oriented design and well‑documented, testable code.
- DSP concepts and frameworks.
- Experience with audio measurement platforms such as Audio Precision and Head Acoustics.
- CI/CD processes, including test suite development and code packaging for distribution.
- Champion of code quality and standards.
- Passion for customer‑valued interface design.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Track record of strong teamwork and collaboration on technical projects.
- Solid working understanding of physics and acoustics with practical application in engineering contexts.
- Experience collaborating on open‑source projects.
- Hands‑on experience or curiosity about live sound production, home theater, automotive audio systems, audio recording, and related fields.
- Familiarity with and experience debugging audio hardware setups—including amplifiers, speakers, microphones, and signal routing.
The hiring range for the Framingham, Massachusetts location is $97,200–$133,650. Compensation is thoughtfully tailored to skill level, experience, education, and location and includes base salary, bonuses, a 401(k) plan, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and exclusive perks designed to support wellbeing.
