Description / ExpectationsHendler Family Brewing Company is seeking an organized and resourceful individual to join our team as a Receiver. The Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting and processing inbound deliveries to the brewery, as well as maintaining an orderly and organized warehouse space. This position is responsible for maintaining standards and processes associated with inbound shipments and individual packages. The Receiver works with the brewing, cellaring and packaging team to best organize and prepare necessary materials.
This position will also assist the Warehouse Lead in their daily duties as necessary, including working with outgoing shipments, cooler organization and finished goods warehousing.
- Receive, inspect, process and warehouse shipments to our inbound dock physically and digitally in our ERP
- Keep raw material storage warehouses neat and orderly
- Coordinate with brewing, cellaring and packaging personnel on their daily raw material needs, seeking out opportunities for increasing efficiency
- Assist the Operations Manager/Sales Team with all UPS, Fed Ex, etc. shipments/pickups as requested
- Prepare dunnage material for pickup for can suppliers
- Assist with kegging operations by transporting finished goods loads
- Set, maintain and help communicate company-wide standards for inbound packages and mail
- Participate in month-end inventory
- Assist with coverage on the outbound dock as needed
- Follow safety and training protocols/procedures as required
- Assist with forklift management including regular watering
- Suggest process improvements
- Additional tasks as assigned
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency with all required ERP usage.
- Ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours a day.
- Ability to bend, move, twist, and reach with arms, legs, & torso.
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled/refrigerated environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a high pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission box truck—a plus
- Multilingual (English, Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of the craft beer industry and appreciation of the culture that goes with it.
- Strong communication skills, both with management and fellow associates.
- Experience with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
