About the Role
Would you like the opportunity to join our Infiltration and Inflow (I&I) Department as a Project Engineer? As an Engineer at Robinson, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and provide support as we continue to help our client communities. This position is based out of our Frankfort office location.
Your New OpportunityWork with a team that provides municipal wastewater collection system testing and infiltration/inflow (I/I) studies, sewer system evaluation surveys, and sewer rehabilitation services for more than 50 municipalities. Our team of NAASCO certified professionals offers tailored testing programs to address community sewer system assessment and rehabilitation needs, and we provide regular updates, testing results, and discuss appropriate next‑step solutions.
Responsibilities- Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs.
- Assist with site visits and field investigations for collection systems and other underground utilities.
- Design and manage engineering projects for a variety of municipal underground improvements.

- Analyze field data to determine project scope.
- Prepare technical design specifications.
- Perform quantity take‑offs for preparation of detailed cost estimates.
- Coordinate with local and remote clients, internal company staff, permitting agencies, and other consulting firms to provide status updates on design or construction projects.
- Manage underground infrastructure engineering projects from the planning stage through construction.
- Conduct quality checks of documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data and information.
- Maintain knowledge of latest trends, standards, and other innovations in the field of civil/municipal engineering through attendance at conferences, participation in professional societies, and reviewing trade publications.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- EIT or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam within one year of employment preferred; PE is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, iOS smartphones, and experience working in ArcGIS is a plus.
- Ability to write technical reports with clarity and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective time management.
- Valid driver’s license.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $72,000 annually. Final compensation is dependent on multiple factors including years of experience, any applicable licensure and/or certifications, and internal pay structures. Information related to benefits offered to employees can be found at
