We are a busy, patient-centered audiology clinic providing comprehensive hearing and balance care across the lifespan. Our practice emphasizes evidence-based diagnostics, advanced vestibular assessment, and individualized hearing and tinnitus management including Lenire® bimodal neuromodulation. Externs are fully integrated into clinical care and receive hands‑on experience with a wide range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services.
The Audiology Extern will gain extensive clinical experience under the supervision of licensed audiologists in both audio logic and vestibular diagnostics. This position is ideal for a motivated AuD student seeking strong preparation for independent clinical practice in a comprehensive setting.
Clinical Experience Includes Audiology Services- Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations for pediatric and adult patients
- Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, verification, and follow‑up care
- Hearing aid troubleshooting, repairs, and patient counseling
- Tinnitus assessment and management (as applicable)
- Videonystagmography (VNG)
- Rotary Chair Testing
- Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (cVEMP and oVEMP)
- Electrocochleography (ECoG)
- Positional and balance assessments
- Test interpretation and report writing
- Conduct patient case histories and clinical evaluations
- Administer and interpret audio logic and vestibular diagnostic tests
- Participate in treatment planning and patient counseling
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers
- Demonstrate professional, ethical, and patient-centered care
- Current enrollment in an accredited Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program
- Eligibility for a fourth-year externship placement
- Strong interest in diagnostic audiology and vestibular assessment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while seeking appropriate supervision
- High-volume diagnostic and vestibular experience
- One‑on‑one mentorship with experienced audiologists
- Exposure to advanced vestibular technology and protocols
