Tool and Die Maker

Calisota Parts is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing steel stamping dies used in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsman with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience supporting progressive and transfer die operations.

• Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain progressive, transfer, and single-hit stamping dies.
• Perform die changeovers, adjustments, and die tryouts to support production requirements.
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Operate tool room equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and precision measuring instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and dies.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve tooling performance.
• Document tooling repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.

• 5+ years of Tool & Die experience in a metal stamping environment preferred.
• Journeyman Tool & Die certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Strong knowledge of progressive and transfer dies.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
