Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer? We are seeking a skilled machinist with experience in CNC milling, machine setups, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and production machining to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, performing setups, troubleshooting equipment, and producing high-quality precision parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce parts to specification
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and job changeovers
- Run production while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Adjust tooling, cutting speeds, and feed rates as needed
- Inspect parts and perform in-process quality checks
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance
- Troubleshoot basic machine and tooling issues
- Complete production documentation and communicate operational updates
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Minimum 2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience
- Experience with CNC mills, machining centers, or screw machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with machine setups and tooling adjustments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Experience with Siemens controls
- Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code
- Experience operating both CNC mills and lathes
- Screw machine experience
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Work in a clean manufacturing facility producing precision-machined components. This position involves operating production equipment, inspecting parts, handling materials, and collaborating with a small team to meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
