Advantage Industrial Systems (AIS) is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support our growing Corporate Safety Department in Frankfort, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career safety professional, whether you're a recent graduate or have several years of experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related safety environments.
SummaryThe Safety Coordinator will support AIS's Corporate Safety Department by coordinating safety training, compliance programs, reporting, documentation, and safety management systems across projects nationwide. This newly created role is ideal for a recent graduate or safety professional with a few years of experience who is interested in building a long-term career in construction safety. The position offers hands-on exposure to safety operations, training administration, contractor compliance, and field activities, along with strong opportunities for professional growth within the Safety Department.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, and compliance records
- Administer safety systems, reports, and employee training platforms
- Support contractor compliance programs including ISNetworld, Avetta, Gatefeed, and VelocityEHS
- Maintain safety documentation, project records, and regulatory reporting
- Assist with incident tracking and workers' compensation documentation
- Support Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management and inventory updates
- Help administer the company's Motor Vehicle Safety Program
- Generate reports, monitor metrics, and support ongoing safety initiatives
- Occasionally visit local job sites to gain exposure to field operations
- Bachelor's degree required
- Degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Interest in construction, safety, compliance, or industrial operations
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
- Career growth into Safety Technician and Field Safety positions
- Work alongside an experienced Safety team
- Exposure to large-scale industrial, manufacturing, steel, data center, and battery plant projects nationwide
