Green Drop Bookstore Ambassador

$16.15 to $20.19 per hour.

• Promptly open the location each assigned day and prepare the site for business.
• Greet donors and customers with a friendly, helpful, efficient attitude, thanking them for their contributions and informing them about the nonprofit partners.
• Assist donors in unloading vehicles, recording donation details, and maintaining an organized collection area.
• Assist drivers during donation pick‑ups and maintain overall cleanliness and safety standards outside the store and in the collection area.
• Stock the book department with new products daily, remove old stock, reorganize merchandise, dust, clean, and keep shelves orderly.
• Perform all opening and closing procedures.
• Operate self‑checkout registers, encourage customers to use self‑checkout, and provide assistance as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

• Ability to read and write.
• Service‑oriented with excellent verbal communication skills and an outstanding ability to interact with people.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously throughout the day and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and a commitment to attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
• Ability to work independently without continuous supervision and to perform basic math and computer tasks at a high school level.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, reach overhead 30% of the time, push or pull 50% of the time, and stand 100% of the time.
• Ability to perform repetitive use of hands, grasping items with hands 80% of the time, and to navigate safely among vehicles, heavy equipment, and uneven surfaces.
