Long-Term Substitute Teacher High School Art
Frankfort High School is seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide instruction for high school Art classes during a temporary teacher leave from August 3, 2026, through November 9, 2026. The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering daily instruction, implementing curriculum, maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, assessing student learning, communicating with students and families as needed, and collaborating with the Fine Arts Department and school administration to ensure continuity of instruction throughout the assignment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging instruction aligned with the established Art curriculum.
- Creating and maintaining lesson plans, grading student work, and monitoring student progress.
- Maintaining accurate attendance and student records.
- Establishing a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.
- Supervising students and enforcing school rules and procedures.
- Collaborating with administrators, counselors, special education staff, and colleagues to support student success.
- Performing other duties related to the temporary teaching assignment as assigned by the High School Principal.
Job Qualifications:
Applicant must demonstrate the ability to:
- Teach and engage high school students in a visual arts classroom.
- Plan, organize, and deliver effective daily instruction.
- Maintain appropriate classroom management and student supervision.
- Foster creativity while maintaining a structured learning environment.
- Assess student work and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, staff, and administrators.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Utilize classroom technology and instructional software.
- Work collaboratively as a dependable member of the Frankfort High School staff.
