As a Chaplain on our team, you will provide pastoral services to residents and employees of the community. The Chaplain provides programs and services that assist with coming to a great and more full understanding of life's events as they relate to spiritual and emotional well-being.

In This Role You Will:
  • Provide Sunday worship services in the chapel and health center, as designated by the community, while establishing an environment appropriate for worship services.
  • Provide special service for religious days, i.e. Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, etc., as determined by the community leadership, chaplain and the chapel committee.
  • Coordinates weekly bible study classes in the community and health center.
  • Provides spiritual counseling and visitation services to residents. The chaplain offers religious and spiritual guidance to residents, families, employees on individual and group levels as requested.
  • Welcomes new residents to the community. The chaplain shall make an initial visit to establish a relationship and assess the spiritual needs of a resident upon move-in.
  • Coordinates and performs memorial services for residents with no families, performs memorial services for resident who have requested such services, and attends other funerals, viewings, or memorials as a representative of the community.
  • Work closely and consistently with the Spiritual Life Committee, actively coordinating with the group on spiritual life programs and services.
  • Adapt sermons and spiritual messages for Health Center and Memory Care residents.
  • Coordinator chapel services when not serving as worship leader.
  • Prepare and distribute the chapel bulletin.
  • Serve as campus Manager on Duty each Sunday.
Shift:
  • Sunday
    - Tuesday
    - Thursday and on-call as necessary
Who You Are:
  • Must be an Ordained minister or approved/certified chaplain, with a minimum of two years in professional ministry
  • Must possess the ability and stamina to minister to residents with varying physical and mental abilities and differential faith/denomination traditions
  • Must be willing to take calls after hours for urgent or emergent situations
  • Must be able to travel to hospitals and resident units, as needed. Travel to conferences, seminars, association meetings, and other business-related events
