Machine Operator, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Ultra Web Operator – Frankfort, IN
Position:
Ultra Web Operator on 3rd shift (10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) located at our Frankfort, IN facility.
- Recognize and understand the operations and machines involved with the media process.
- Produce media within acceptable quality and quantity standards as stated in the prints and/or route sheets.
- Perform quality checks and tests as assigned.
- Follow first piece and set‑up sheets, monitor production rates.
- Complete all applicable paperwork – scrap report, media usage sheet, media testing sheet, oil runs, etc.
- Perform machine changeover.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
- Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
- Use all designated personal protective equipment as required.
- Other duties may be assigned to fulfill Donaldson’s mission, vision and strategic plan objectives.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with equipment such as gauges, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures.
- Ability to use a computer and understand basic math principles.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from the floor to waist height, 60 inches at 35 pounds, horizontally for 10 feet, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least two years of trade school or qualified work experience.
- Problem‑solving efficiently and effectively.
- Work effectively with limited supervision.
- Maintain consistent high quality in work habits.
- Maintain accurate records with attention to detail.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.
- Read and understand basic statistical process control principles and a blueprint.
Hourly Rate: $26.59 (actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, training, education, performance). Eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
