Blade Sharpening Tech/Delivery Driver
NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for Blade Sharpening Tech/Delivery Driver in Frankfort, IN 1st shift Pay: $18-20/hour based on experience
Position Overview- Inspect incoming HSS saw blades and cutting tools for wear or damage
- Determine appropriate sharpening and repair requirements
- Set up and operate precision saw sharpening equipment
- Select and maintain appropriate grinding wheels
- Sharpen blades to established tooth geometry and specifications
- Measure and verify critical dimensions throughout the sharpening process
- Inspect tooth condition, runout, blade condition, and finished quality
- Identify damaged or questionable tools requiring additional repair or evaluation
- Follow work orders and customer specifications accurately
- Maintain sharpening equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Record production and inspection information as required
- Assist with other sharpening and production operations as needed
- Will be assisting with delivers using company cargo van on 1-2 days a week
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with precision machinery. Ability to read measuring instruments and understand dimensional requirements. Ability to learn cutting-tool geometry and grinding principles. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently after training. Machining, CNC, tool grinding, saw sharpening, or other precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
