Overview
The Maintenance Technician will execute assigned maintenance work of the plant to safeguard plant running and reliability.
Responsibilities- Comply with HSE policies and procedures to ensure that tasks are finished under safe conditions, including completing all trainings assigned to maintain understanding of such requirements.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance plans to complete tasks according to schedule.
- Work in compliance with all required safe work permits, including Hot Work, Line Breaking, Lockout/Tagout (HECP), and Confined Space entry.
- Execute preventive maintenance plan according to the SAP information to ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are executed in a safe and high-quality manner.
- Report any anomalies found during preventive maintenance activities to ensure issues are addressed.
- Support the Mechanical Integrity Program by documenting inspections, tests, and PM activities per plant standards.
- Complete related corrective maintenance jobs in a timely manner to maintain operations.
- Carry out patrols and report any abnormal findings to settle troubleshooting promptly.
- Use and maintain all tools in proper condition for tool maintenance.
- High School Diploma or Vocational school with major/focus in mechanical, pipe fitting or PCT.
- 5+ years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance role in a manufacturing plant.
- Understanding of pump repair, pipe fitting, and valve installation/repair.
- Understanding of mechanical and packed seals.
- Understanding of rotary equipment shaft alignment.
- Understanding of blueprint and P&.
- Understanding of pneumatics and/or hydraulics.
- Knowledge and skills in safe work permit processes.
- Proper use of hand tools and power tools (electric and pneumatic).
- Reasonably effective written and verbal communication with co-workers and area supervisors.
- Documentation of maintenance procedures and PM check sheets.
- Flexibility in accepting new responsibilities and/or expectations as business focus changes.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn SAP/CMMS work order systems.
