Warehouse Material Handler

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Frankfort, Indiana. The role offers weekly pay, benefits, and a career promotion opportunity.

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Friday & Saturday 5:30am-4:00pm;
  Monday & Tuesday 4:30pm-3:00am

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
• Perform work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate initiative and high level of accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
