By joining the Division of Abandoned Mine Lands, Program Management Branch, Resource Management Section as an Administrative Section Supervisor in Franklin County, you will be part of a team that oversees the reclamation of historic coal mining hazards, ensuring procurement, payable policies, and budgetary projects meet standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the work of employees in the Resource Management section regarding Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) reclamation contracts, waterline contracts, and economic development projects. Evaluate employee performance.
- Approve financial transactions in eMARS and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Assist Administrative Branch Manager with grant application process.
- Serve as Pro Card administrator, and manage agency travel, supplies and inventory.
- Prepare correspondence and reports as needed by the Administrative Branch Manager and Division Director.
- Knowledge of Kentucky Model Procurement Code and Finance Administrative Policies (FAP).
- Grant management experience.
- Pro Card administration experience.
- Creation or approval of eMARS payment transactions.
Travel may be required. The position involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and sitting at a desk.

Minimum RequirementsEducation: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Experience, Training, or
Skills:
Four years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute Education for
Experience:
A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute Experience for
Education:
Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
