Pay Grade 12 | $44,905.68 - $59,769.60 annually | 37.5 hr/week | 1001 Vandalay Dr, Frankfort, KY 40601

Description

The Kentucky Judicial Branch offers career opportunities in the Administrative Office of the Courts in Frankfort. The Office of Finance and Administration, Department of Court Facilities, Division of Real Property is hiring a Facilities Coordinator in Franklin County. The role oversees the operations and maintenance of court facilities statewide, manages repair or replacement projects, and leases space for court offices statewide.

Examples

of Duties or Responsibilities
  • Regularly examine and assess the condition of court facilities statewide.
  • Perform space audits as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive files for each court facility, including floor plans, maintenance and janitorial contracts, background checks for service providers, insurance certificates, warranties, and manuals.
  • Act as a liaison between court officials, county officials and employees to ensure facilities are sufficiently maintained and repairs are completed.
  • Assist officials and professional service providers in resolving facility‑related issues.
  • Review requests for janitorial and maintenance services and make recommendations.
  • Review auditors’ questions regarding regular operating costs and make recommendations.
  • Review requests for nonrecurring repairs, quotes submitted by counties, and make recommendations.
  • Manage nonrecurring repair or replacement projects statewide and authorize reimbursement for completed projects.
  • Review requests for space and make recommendations.
  • Lease property for use of the court of justice.
  • Act as a liaison between the KCOJ occupant and the lessor to ensure leased properties are properly maintained.
  • Obtain and manage janitorial services for private sector leases.
  • Maintain a comprehensive KCOJ occupied space list including data about each property occupied by the KCOJ.
  • Review and approve invoices and payments associated with court facilities and leased premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction or business‑related field.
  • 4 years supervisory experience.
  • Associate degree with 3 years’ experience or HS diploma with 5 years’ experience (substitutions).
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Working Conditions

Travel statewide. Ability to climb, bend, and stoop.
