Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do: Guided by the Agency's mission "To reduce recidivism among those we touch" the Operation Support Center is looking for a dedicated security-minded administrative professional to assume the duties and responsibilities of an Administrative Professional 1 in Franklin County. This position is located in Education
This position shall be filled in accordance with the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME, Collective Bargaining Agreement. ODRC bargaining unit members have selection rights before non-bargaining unit members. All other applications will only be considered if an internal bargaining unit applicant is not selected for this position.
Job Duties- Requires considerable knowledge of clerical functions and office procedures in order to prepare and type correspondence and reports for OCSS from rough draft/copy and oral instructions which includes educational terminology
- Prepares and types agendas and reports for education
Initiates and signs routine letters of inquiry, in-house memos, etc. Gathers, collects and interprets data and/or statistics - Types monthly reports for education department
- Prepares education records and progress of inmate students on Ohio Central School System official transcript
- Maintains various student apprenticeship records and test results
- Prepares and types purchase requisitions for education
- Monitors equipment usage and budgetary constraints
- Maintains necessary student records and responds to telephone and written inquiries
- Designs, establishes and maintains record keeping systems
- Attends meetings, trainings and conferences
- May give presentations and conduct training
- Responds both verbally and in writing to questions and concerns
- Works on special projects and/or committees as assigned
1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications. For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in relevant technical terminology.
