The Administrative Specialist Senior assumes the duty of administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in the office. This position provides high level administrative support to the Medical Support and Benefits Branch.

- Manages and tracks all correspondence to ensure timely response
- Compiles data into reports, analyzes and organizes information
- Uses reports to ensure trainings are completed timely, writes meeting notes
- Answers incoming calls and routes appropriately
- Ensures timesheets and error reports are completed timely
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Department and Division
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR
SKILLS:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for
EXPERIENCE:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for
EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-foryear basis.

Probationary PeriodThis job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
