Seasonal Grain Admin/Operator
Mercer Landmark is in search of several seasonal Grain Admins/Operators. This is a 12-week working schedule of September 1 – December 1. It is on average 72 hours per week (12hr/day x 6 days a week). This position will pay a $4000 bonus at the end of harvest season for staying the duration of the 12 weeks. The ideal candidate is someone with ample availability during the 12-week timeframe.
PositionSummary
This position is responsible for performing various duties including cleaning, organizing, setting up and closing as well as assisting with facility and equipment maintenance while supporting the achievement of business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working outside and in the facility doing various tasks as needed.
- Admin duties including answering phone, counter sales, inbound and outbound trucks, grain testing and all other general office duties as needed
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facility.
- Serving our patrons in a manner that promotes our company, promotes customer service and delivers our patrons the services they need to succeed with their operations.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic reading skills
- Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ideal candidate would have some experience driving a forklift.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following instructions
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
