- Manage and implement the project’s site-specific Health & Safety Plan.
- Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and jobsite observations to identify and correct hazards.
- Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training.
- Develop and review JHAs/JSAs and ensure appropriate controls are implemented before work begins.
- Monitor high-risk activities including electrical work, LOTO, excavation, trenching, heavy equipment, lifting and rigging, working at heights, and energized work.
- Ensure employees and subcontractors comply with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage and implement corrective actions.
- Track and report safety metrics, inspections, observations, corrective actions, and other required documentation.
- Manage subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety standards.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills.
- Partner with project leadership to identify safety risks and develop practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and support client, owner, EPC, and regulatory audits.
- Promote a strong safety culture and have the authority to stop unsafe work when necessary.
