Buck Run Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Next Gen Pastor to provide pastoral oversight over our Kids and Students Ministries. This role will oversee a team of two Kids Ministry Directors (Part‑time) and two Student Ministry Directors (Part‑time). The Next Gen Pastor will be more hands‑on with Student Ministry (6th–12th grade) while giving pastoral oversight, support, and direction to the Kids Ministry staff and volunteer teams.
This role also includes general pastoral responsibilities as a member of our pastoral team. Candidates should have pastoral experience and administrative skills necessary to lead a team of employees and a volunteer force of 200 people.
- Provide vision, teaching, and leadership for Buck Run’s ministry to Middle and High School students.
- Equip student parents as the primary disciple‑makers in their homes.
- Equip Student Ministry Directors and Volunteers to disciple students.
- Oversee weekly gatherings, small groups, events, mission trips, and retreats.
- Shepherd students, parents, and leaders through intentional relational ministry.
- Offer pastoral direction, support, and accountability to the Kids Ministry Directors and Volunteers.
- Ensure alignment with Buck Run’s discipleship philosophy, safety policies, and ministry goals.
- Partner with the Kids Ministry team to strengthen curriculum strategy, parent engagement, and volunteer development.
- Equip kids’ parents as the primary disciple‑makers in their homes.
- Conduct pastoral meetings with kids and parents who pursue baptism and membership.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate a team of four Next Gen staff members.
- Lead staff to recruit, train, and support a volunteer force of 200 volunteers across all Next Gen ministries.
- Equip parents as primary disciple‑makers through resources, teaching, classes, and direct pastoral care.
- Champion a church‑wide culture that prioritizes intergenerational discipleship and family engagement.
- Participate in preaching, teaching, congregational care, and other pastoral duties as assigned.
- Qualifications of a pastor as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:5‑9
- Demonstrated pastoral experience, preferably in kids or student ministries.
- Proven administrative, supervisory, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communicator with the ability to teach Scripture with faithfulness and clarity.
- Capacity to develop leaders, build systems, and execute ministry plans with excellence.
- Full‑time salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
