Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver lessons for special education students.
- Diagnose learning needs and prescribe individual I.E.Ps.
- Maintain classroom management techniques to foster an environment conducive to learning.
- Select appropriate instructional materials and handle them efficiently.
- Communicate the needs of the classroom to personnel, parents, students, and administration.
- Collaborate with related service personnel and participate in professional development.
- Document student progress and adhere to due‑process procedures.
- Comply with district, state, and federal regulations regarding special education.
- Maintain confidentiality of professional information unless required by law.
Approved certification with the State of Kentucky.
Additional Requirements- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
EvaluationPerformance will be evaluated according to board policy for Professional Personnel.
