Project Surveyor

Location: Frankfort, KY
DescriptionWe're looking for a Project Surveyor to join the HMB team in Kentucky!

Key Responsibilities- Assist in land surveying activities for various projects, including transportation, boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
- Conduct fieldwork, including data collection and equipment operation (e.g., total stations, GPS, and levels).
- Prepare and review survey drawings, maps, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate survey results.
- Assist with project documentation, including permit applications, survey reports, and calculations.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal surveying standards and regulations.
- Provide support to senior surveyors in project planning and execution.
- Participate in quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the survey team and projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience .
- 2+ years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on project work.
- LSIT (Licensed Surveyor in Training) certification preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with surveying equipment and software (e.g., Micro Station, ORD, Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble, Carlson).
- Familiarity with surveying principles and local regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
