Senior Manager of Global Reliability Engineering

Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM. When not traveling, position required to be onsite at a US Catalent site. This position can be located proximal to a variety of sites within the Catalent network (St Pete, Kansas City, Winchester, or Madison).

The Senior Manager of Global Reliability Engineering will support the roll out of global standards and drive reliability process improvements. This role will support talent/skills development, CMMS, and critical spares management for broader implementation.

The Role

  • Creating and rolling out global reliability processes, standards and best practices as part of the global Reliability Team
  • Assist sites in the completion of reliability assessments, development of key metrics, and identification of reliability projects with most significant payback and bottom line impact to critical work center uptime.
  • Develop reliability tools, standards and training materials for a broad range of reliability and maintenance topics (RCFA, Critical Spares Maintenance, RCM studies for PM Optimization etc.)
  • Perform mechanical and electrical skills assessments across the network to baseline current maintenance and operations staff capabilities and assist sites in developing training plans to improve skills in maintenance, equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Support the rollout of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration, infrared, oil analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and other non-destructive technologies.
  • Implement use of AI, where possible, to improve site/asset reliability.
  • Support/own critical asset replacement program (currently under responsibility of capital governance)
  • Assists with periodic program and system / equipment audits focused on maintenance effectiveness, planning and scheduling and criticality assessments to rank assets according to business impact either financial or safety.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline or 10+ years of reliability engineering support required.
  • Advanced Degree in technical / business area a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility/company required. 10+ years of hands on reliability engineering experience in a multi-site environment
  • Formal Training in Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies (RCM, RCM II, FMEA, Weibull Analysis etc.)
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical / bio tech processing equipment is a plus.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Remaining current in all aspects of cGMPs and SOPs, methods and protocols.
  • Fluent in English written and verbal conversational and technical.
  • 25% domestic travel, minimal international travel.
