Roadway Engineer

Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 / year

We are looking for a Roadway Design Engineer in Lexington, Frankfort, or Louisville, KY with the opportunity to work on signature projects and collaborate with other design staff. • Support the completion of roadway design tasks through collaboration with project teams and mentorship from senior engineers.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure designs meet schedule and budget expectations.
• Gain valuable experience with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role through mentorship and increasing responsibility.
• Prepare timely and accurate design drawings, details, presentations, and construction documents in accordance with applicable standards.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages for review by regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, right of way staff, utility providers, project stakeholders, and contractors under the direction of senior staff.
• Support the development and tracking of project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure project objectives are met.

• A minimum of 6 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer preferred.
• PE Certification is preferred.
• Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
• Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
• A self-starter that can take initiatives with key stakeholders.
