The Kentucky Department of Parks has a job opening for a Human Resources Specialist Senior. This position supports the Human Resources Administration Branch with personnel and payroll processing for Kentucky State Parks. - Process personnel, payroll, and benefits actions in KHRIS.
- Draft HR-related correspondence as directed by the Appointing Authority.
- Compile personnel and payroll reports.
- Provide administrative support to the HR management team.
- Assist HR Administrators and HR Management with HR-related training.
Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of KHRIS or experience working in other human resource information systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain adaptable, demonstrate empathy, and active listening skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to keep up with multiple deadlines.
- A 37.5-hour work week (with occasional overtime required)

- EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
Probationary PeriodThis job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
