Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a
Sr. Human Resources Generalist
to be based out of our Electrical Cable & Flexible Conduit facility in Byesville, OH. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Sr. HR Generalist will lead and execute talent acquisition, employee relations and lead various human resources projects and processes. This person will collaborate with their local client group to help shape and implement the overall business strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years human resources experience. Experience working in a lean manufacturing, business system-based company environment is preferred.

What you’ll do:

  • Function as a strategic business partner to all employee groups in creating and leading HR solutions.
  • Provide HR support in new initiative rollouts in the form of innovative ideas, communication, change management, and thought partnership.
  • Provide coaching to managers and supervisors regarding employee relations, difficult conversations, and process improvements.
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling related to conflicts, dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of suspension and termination requests while balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs.
  • Manage the talent acquisition and retention process to achieve hiring and retention goals.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and report out on findings as needed.
  • Report out on HR metrics and prepare presentations as required.
  • Drive Engagement and Alignment (cultural) initiatives for the facility.
  • Maintain affirmative action program; prepare EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Promote Engagement and Alignment positive employee relations throughout the workplace.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Assist in developing new policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives to meet business needs.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant human resources experience required.
  • Flexibility to come in early or occasionally work off shift hours to provide support to off-shift as needed.
  • Experience recruiting hourly and salaried employees preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in lean manufacturing, business system-based company environment preferred
  • Experience with UKG is a plus.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
  • Responsive nature with strong sense of urgency to manage matters quickly.
  • Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL and other related Federal & State laws.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve; ability to understand and analyze data to make decisions.
