Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role. Demonstrated experience in infrastructure architecture, network engineering, server administration, and enterprise systems management.

Education Substitute:
High school diploma and 8+ years of directly related infrastructure experience.

• Broad/advanced technical knowledge of network and server operating systems
• Strong understanding of network hardware, protocols, and standards
• Proven experience in infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives
• Advanced understanding of infrastructure principles, best practices, and operational processes
• Experience managing cloud platforms, virtualization, and hybrid environments
• ITIL certification preferred
• Ability to drive solutions to completion and manage competing priorities

• Lead the design and implementation of short-term and long-term strategic infrastructure plans
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and training plans for infrastructure operations and project management
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards to support infrastructure modernization and procurement
• Oversee the planning, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure security measures
• Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of infrastructure systems including LANs, WANs, Internet, Intranet, cloud services, security, and wireless implementations
• Define and enforce hardware and software standards in collaboration with organizational stakeholders
• Oversee and enforce change management processes related to infrastructure services
• Ensure infrastructure services are tested regularly and provide performance metrics, reports, and capacity planning insights
• Develop and execute strategies for server, storage, and network infrastructure maintenance and modernization
• Ensure all change requests are managed in a controlled manner, including standard changes, emergency maintenance, impact assessments, prioritization, authorization, tracking, reporting, closure, and documentation
• Manage infrastructure budgets, provide cost analysis, and support financial planning
• Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure staff to ensure high performance and operational excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work is typically performed in an office environment
• Occasional travel may be required

May require after-hours availability for critical incidents or maintenance windows
