We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Analyst to strengthen the security posture of our cloud and cloud-native environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. The role will identify and prioritise security risks, provide clear remediation guidance, contribute to secure architecture and design reviews, and support the implementation and improvement of security controls across cloud infrastructure, containers, identities, and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with Dev Ops, Platform, and Engineering teams.
Whatyou will work on
- Review and analyse vulnerabilities and security findings across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, applications, and supporting technologies.
- Previous hands-on experience with tools like SAST and CSPM/CNAPP.
- Identify cloud misconfigurations, excessive permissions, publicly exposed resources, and network security weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls across cloud-native platforms, including container security, image scanning, runtime security, and Kubernetes hardening.
- Support IAM, RBAC, privileged access, and least-privilege improvements across Azure environments.
- Monitor container image scanning, runtime security, and Kubernetes posture, advising on hardening priorities; directly configure security tooling policies where appropriate, distinct from changes to production infrastructure itself.
- Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and threat modelling activities for new services and significant technical changes.
- Define and monitor the implementation of cloud security standards, policies, security controls, and automated checks.
- Assist with the evaluation and improvement of cloud security, vulnerability management, and security scanning tools.
- Provide practical cloud security guidance to technical teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle.
- Support incident response teams during the investigation of events in cloud workloads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years in Cyber Security, with hands-on exposure to Cloud Security, Dev Ops collaboration, or Cloud Engineering.
- Experience analysing technical findings and coordinating remediation with engineering teams (not necessarily implementing fixes directly), on Azure or another major cloud platform.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, vulnerability management, IAM/RBAC, and network security; familiarity with Azure-native security and policy tooling (or direct equivalents).
- Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes, ideally on Azure; comfort with CSPM, SAST/ASPM, container scanning, and cloud threat detection tooling — training on our specific stack provided.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD security practices, and strong ability to translate findings into remediation actions for others to implement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical and risk-based approach to security.
- Ability to communicate technical security issues clearly.
- Strong collaboration, organisation, and ownership.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving cloud technologies and security threats.
