• Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment
• Drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation.
• Establishes overall platform architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged
• Contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.
• Creates the construction of infrastructure architecture components.
• Establishes overall infrastructure architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged.
• Defines infrastructure architecture standards that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.
• Directs projects to identify enterprise level technology and architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models.
• Competently contributes technical expertise to enterprise programs and projects
• Evangelizes architecture and technical strategies, and influences project and program direction toward enterprise technology standards and architectures
• Able to escape non-conformance to appropriate governance bodies.

• Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• The candidate must have strong expertise in Self-Managed Active Directory, Entra n, domain trusts, DNS, and hybrid authentication models.
• This candidate MUST have experience setting up/working with the Landing Zone.
• This person must have hands on, real world experience but is now functioning in the architect role driving design and decisions and supporting more junior team members.
• This person must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
• They will be interacting with the hands on keyboard team as well as executives.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), FSLogix, Azure SQL MI AD authentication.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), Azure Policy, RBAC, and enterprise-scale subscription design is mandatory.
• Deep expertise in Azure Landing Zone Setup, Hybrid AD architecture, Entra n
• Strong understanding of Self-Managed AD, Entra n Service & Entra , Domain Trusts and Authentication Flows
• Experience in Content management and workflow systems, Data center architecture, Mobile infrastructure, Virtualization and Voice Infrastructure strongly preferred.
• Must have experience as Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect as well as Identity and Access Management, VM's and Networking.
• Experience in health care industry strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Security and Governance.
• Possible OT and weekends depending on delivery and release schedules. This is common in the IT space.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
