Manufacturing Director (Alcohol Industry)

Manufacturing Director (Alcohol Industry) will oversee all aspects of alcohol production operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality across distillation, aging, bottling, and warehousing. This role carries full P&L responsibility and sets the strategic direction for multi‑site operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Leadership:
Direct and inspire teams across distilling, packaging, warehousing, and maintenance. - Performance Management:
Own SQDCP metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) daily. - Labor Relations:
Lead collective bargaining processes and foster productive union relationships. - Employee Engagement:
Champion initiatives to build a motivated and connected workforce. - Strategic Planning:
Develop annual budgets and long‑term operational strategies. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with planning, customer service, and innovation teams to launch new products. - Leadership Development:
Coach and grow site leadership teams across key functions. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to TTB, GMP, ISO, and food safety standards. - Global Standards Alignment:
Align local operations with corporate manufacturing standards while honoring regional heritage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive alcohol industry experience with deep knowledge of distillation, aging, and bottling.
- 10+ years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, and maintenance/engineering.
- Proven track record in site leadership and unionized labor relations.
- Hands‑on experience with collective bargaining negotiations, including strategy, costing, proposal development, and post‑ratification implementation.
