The OpportunityWe are working with a rapidly growing transmission contractor that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major transmission line project in Ohio.
The project forms part of a significant expansion of 765kV transmission infrastructure and is expected to run for approximately five years.
This is a newly created senior leadership position offering the opportunity to play a key role in establishing the project team, developing project processes and taking ownership of overall delivery.
With a growing pipeline of major transmission projects across multiple states, this position also provides a genuine long-term opportunity to progress into Project Executive and senior operational leadership.
The RoleThe Senior Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, including:
- Leading the overall delivery of a major transmission line project.
- Managing and developing a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and wider project personnel.
- Working closely with field construction leadership to ensure strong coordination between project and field operations.
- Taking ownership of project P&L, forecasting and financial performance.
- Managing project headcount, resources and staffing requirements.
- Providing leadership across procurement, commercial and financial functions.
- Managing relationships with customers, GCs, subcontractors, field teams and internal leadership.
- Driving project performance, schedule, quality and commercial outcomes.
- Identifying and managing project risks, changes and evolving requirements.
- Establishing effective project controls, processes and reporting structures.
- Building and developing a high-performing project team.
- Supporting the company's wider transmission growth and future major projects.
We are looking for an experienced transmission professional with a strong combination of project leadership, commercial understanding and field knowledge.
You should have:- Ideally 5+ years of T-Line experience across different voltage levels.
- Experience working on 500kV or 765kV transmission projects is highly relevant.
- Previous 765kV experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience managing large project teams and multiple project functions.
- Strong understanding of P&L, project financials, forecasting and commercial management.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a union construction environment.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing project environment.
- Willingness to work fully onsite and travel around the project footprint.
Strong Project Managers who are ready to take the next step into a Senior Project Manager position will also be considered.

- $150,000–$200,000 base salary, dependent on experience

For out-of-state candidates, the typical expectation is to work onsite with the goal of providing a long weekend home approximately once per month, depending on project requirements.
