General Production Worker
This role supports a highly automated production line that manufactures floorboard carpeting for major automotive brands. You will primarily load and unload materials into machines, follow written work instructions, and help ensure consistent product quality in a clean, climate‑controlled facility.
Responsibilities- Operate on a very automated production line that manufactures floorboard carpeting for automotive vehicles.
- Load materials into machines and unload finished or semi‑finished products in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow written work instructions accurately to maintain product quality and process consistency.
- Support general production activities, including basic assembly, packaging, and handling of materials as needed.
- Work with equipment such as die‑cutting presses and pick‑and‑place robots under established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
- Monitor production flow and promptly report any issues or abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including required use of steel‑toe footwear and adherence to plant safety rules.
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
- Capability to perform general production and general labor tasks on a production line.
- Comfort working with automated equipment, including loading and unloading materials into machines.
- Reliability and consistency in following established processes and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work in a structured, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Entry‑level candidates are welcome; prior manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience with load, packaging, production line, general production, or assembly work is a plus.
- Familiarity with die‑cutting presses or pick‑and‑place robots is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality in a repetitive production setting.
You will join a clean, climate‑controlled facility that supports major automotive programs, offering a stable and professional work setting. The company provides regular pay increases at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, recognizing consistent performance and commitment. You will work with modern automated equipment in a supportive environment that values safety, organization, and long‑term growth opportunities.
Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a clean, climate‑controlled manufacturing facility that produces floor carpeting for the automotive industry, including models such as the Camry, Subaru Outback, and new luxury lines. The production area uses modern equipment such as die‑cutting presses and pick‑and‑place robots, with a very automated line to support efficient operations. Steel‑toe footwear is required as part of the safety dress code.
The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent processes while providing a comfortable temperature‑controlled setting throughout the year.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
