Buffalo Trace Distillery is a family-owned company based in Franklin County, Kentucky, with a distilling tradition dating back to 1787. A fully operational distillery producing bourbon, rye, and vodka on site, Buffalo Trace is listed on the National Historic Register, has earned seven Distillery of the Year titles since 2000, and has garnered more than 150 awards for its premium whiskies.

Job Description /Responsibilities
  • Enter and book daily bottling production for finished and reworked goods in JDE and System 21, verifying calculations and balances through daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Track and manage liquid, bulk, raw material, and ingredient inventories; order and enter bulk liquid and flavor ingredients
  • Collect, analyze, and reconcile data for government records, ensuring accuracy in spirits usage, lot tracking, and finished goods booking
  • Maintain compliance with TTB, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and FRA requirements, including Bills of Lading, placarding, and usage summaries — taking immediate corrective action when needed
  • Complete inbound and outbound shipment paperwork and system transactions to TTB and DOT standards
  • Prepare required reports:
    Bottling Tank Report, Ingredient Inventory, Filtration Component Report, Month/Year-End Inventory, Government Records, Loss Reports, Transfer Reports, and Work Orders
  • Identify, research, and correct transaction errors; communicate quality issues and corrections to relevant departments
  • Manage bulk tanker inventories to minimize demurrage charges
  • Drive continuous process improvement in reporting, batch tracking, inventory control, and loss reduction — documenting best practices and tracking the impact of changes
  • Cross-train across departments to strengthen processes and communication
Qualifications/Requirements Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Preferred
  • APICS or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with System 21 ERP software
  • 2+ years' experience with manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)
