Overview
This is a nurse practitioner role in a cardiothoracic surgery setting. The facility is a 433- to 468-bed medical center known for cardiology, orthopedics, and stroke care and is part of a major health system.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage with first assisting proficiency in CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases.
- Manage OR duties as well as telemetry and ICU responsibilities across multiple care settings.
- Perform call duties including 1-2 call days per week with one weekend per month beginning 7 AM Friday through 7 AM Monday.
- Weekend responsibilities encompass inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgical duties to ensure continuity of care.
