Overview

This travel NP opportunity places you in a busy emergency department where you will provide high‑quality, evidence‑based emergency care. Ideal for Emergency Nurse Practitioners, locum tenens clinicians, and travel NPs seeking short‑term Kentucky nursing jobs and diverse clinical experience in acute care and emergency medicine.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license, eligible to practice in Kentucky
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, ED, or related acute care setting
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and decision‑making skills in emergency department settings
  • Ability to work independently as a locum tenens NP and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality emergency care to patients presenting to the emergency department
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and initiate evidence‑based treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including labs and imaging
  • Participate in trauma care, rapid response, and stabilization of critically ill patients as needed
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, and specialists to coordinate patient care and follow‑up
