RN - Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (L&D) | Onsite Contract

Schedule:

Day shift, 12 hours per day, 3 days per week

• Provide direct patient care in the L&D unit, including monitoring laboring patients and supporting delivery (vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections).
• Assist with induction of labor (cook catheter, Cervidil, oxytocin) and related obstetric procedures.
• Circulate for cesarean sections as needed and support the surgical team during operative deliveries.
• Perform standard nursing duties: IV insertions, laboratory draws, sterile vaginal exams, epidural assistance, Foley catheter placement, and other routine responsibilities supporting maternal care.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and continuous assessment; monitor fetal status using Meditech Expanse, Centricity Perinatal, and related monitors.

• Must have 2 years of hospital setting experience; must be licensed in Kentucky or hold a Compact license at submission.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN.
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections.
• Typical hiring profile: 3 or more years of L&D experience (required); >5 years preferred.

  Level 2 NICU/NB Nursery
• Staff: 58 total;
  Day shift includes 6-8 RNs, 1 OB tech, 1 unit clerk;
  Night shift includes 5-8 RNs, 1 OB tech, 1 unit clerk
• Patient ratios: L&D 2:1; MB 6-8:1; NICU 1-4:1 (acuity-dependent)
• Equipment:
  Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series fetal monitor, Monica monitor, Ranger fluid warmer
• EMR:
  Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal

• Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday night); on-call expectations as defined by unit policy

• Scrubs provided for infant security; attire aligned with facility guidelines

Weekly stipends: $1,246 total; hourly rate approx. $16; base pay $576 weekly

• MUST HAVE KY LICENSE/COMPACT AT SUBMISSION
• Onsite contract includes day shifts and unit-specific information for staffing shows
