We invite you to join Journey as the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The role serves as a clinical operational liaison between the units and the Director of Nursing, responsible for daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance, facilitating the care delivery model, mentoring staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the ADON assumes all duties and responsibilities.

• Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and enforcing policies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, participate in chart audits, and oversee infection control, care planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews while promoting professional growth and ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality care.
• Assist in implementing the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, coordinating and communicating with other departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction.

• Active RN license with a minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role; long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.
• BSN preferred; proven skills in organizing and managing nursing services and personnel.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; clerical ability to analyze reports and data.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state regulations.
